are some of my favorite sites. They are chock full of information and I think
you may like them as well:
This is, by far, the best site available to fishermen in the
midwest. Steve and Darin Novak and team have put a lot of work into this site to
make it the big hit that it is today. They have great articles, and tons of
information regarding Wisconsin fishing, and an excellent fishing report
section. I can guarantee that if you check this site out, you'll love it as much
as I do.
A great site that covers a lot of outdoor sports, including
fishing, hunting, shooting, and camping. People from all over the country come
here and you can make some great friends as well as get useful information for
all your needs.
A great site that is full of fun and useful hunting information.
This site is very interactive and once you become a member you can even make
your own mini-site, plus you get access to a very useful hunting log book and A
LOT of other great stuff. CHECK IT OUT NOW!
The history of the Boone and Crockett Club is a chronicle of
over 100 years of measured and thoughtful commitment to conservation. It is a
commitment that balances human needs with wildlife needs; a commitment that sees
deep value in preserving the hunting tradition, as well as conserving wild lands
and wildlife; a commitment that grows out of a powerful love of wildlife.
"Dedicated to the protection of our bowhunting heritage and
North America's wildlife"
The Pope and Young Club is a membership based organization of
dedicated bowhunters and conservationists. There are three levels of membership:
Associate, Regular, and Senior. All new members must join the Club as an
Associate. The only requirement to join as an Associate Member is to be a
bowhunter and have pursued the challenge long enough to have harvested at least
one adult North American big game animal with the bow and arrow (not necessarily
of record class size).
In my opinion this is perhaps one of the most important
organizations when it comes to preserving our heritage. Show your increased
commitment to the defense of the Second Amendment and join the prestigious ranks
of NRA Life Membership.
Gun Owners of America (GOA) is a nonprofit lobbying organization
formed in 1975 to preserve and defend the Second Amendment rights of gun owners.
GOA sees firearms ownership as a freedom issue. From state legislatures and city
councils to the United States Congress and the White House, GOA represents the
views of gun owners whenever their rights are threatened.
GOA has never wavered from its mission to defend the Second
Amendment-- liberty's freedom teeth, as George Washington called it.
Bowhunting Net welcomes all bowhunters and those who want to
bowhunt. Updated daily. 1,000's of bowhunting & archery articles. What can I say...I love this site!
For all you fans of John Gillespi's show and the new magazine,
well guess what....They have a web site too. Check it out for some information
in regards to fishing the midwest, Wisconsin in particular.
Whether you flyfish or not this site is useful as often the
stream reports can be useful for spin fishermen as well. Although this site only
covers flyfishing, as far as topics and articles go, the reports and message
board can be useful for everyone. The main focus of this site seems to be trout,
although other fish catching techniques are discussed.
God bless the Nuge! If you love Ted Nugent as much as I do, then
you just gotta check this site out! The best thing we as sportsmen can do to
protect our rights is to voice our opinions. What's one of the best ways for an
average Joe to do this? By joining large pro-hunting clubs. Each of our voices
alone won't be heard but a million voices together MUST be noticed!
At this site you'll find all the information one could need
about fishing the Madison area (although why you'd want to, God only knows. What
with all the people, housing and development and power boaters and skiers and
jet skiers and...and... sheesh I get a headache just thinking about it).
Honestly though you can find good reports on area lakes and even some lake maps
of Mendota, Monona, Wingra, Waubesa and Kegonsa.
This is the site to hit up if you ever have questions regarding
Wisconsin outdoor recreations and rules and regulations of such practices. They
have lake maps, outdoor reports per region, useful DNR information, and tons of
other stuff I can scarcely begin to cover here.
Calling Whitetail Deer has become very popular in recent years .
But the biggest question to most hunters both new and old is
when to use these calls and what do they mean? Developed by a new Yorkian named
Joe this site has a lot of sounds that deer make. Pretty cool if ya ask me and
not a bad learning experience!
This site is basically a must for anyone who fishes the great
lakes (and if you live in Wisconsin, why wouldn't you?) Daily fishing reports
for each region, and full of great information to help make your next trip to
the great lakes a successful one.
A NONPROFIT MUSEUM-EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION SUPPORTED ENTIRELY
BY PUBLIC DONATIONS. The Nation's Angler deserves recognition and a home to call
his own. He now has it with the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. It's a
place to record and display his achievements and accomplishments for posterity.
Here, too, is a place he can be memorialized with dignity, simply as an
"Angler"
For those who watch the show or read the magazine this link will
certainly appear familiar. Midwest Outdoors is a monthly magazine edited for the
outdoorsman who participates in fishing, hunting, boating, canoeing, camping,
hiking and snowmobiling.
Wisconsin's trout management programs set an example of habitat
stewardship that other states should emulate. Status and Trends for Inland Trout
Management in Wisconsin focuses specifically on Wisconsin's inland trout
fisheries programs (the salmon and steelhead fisheries in the Great Lakes are
excluded).
Fishing reports, information, techniques and tips for fishing
from a large or small boat, fishing from shore and harbors and fishing
